Staiga prie laužo ima būriuotis kiti žmonės, bando sušilti, prisimenamos senų laikų istorijos ir pasakojamos vieni kitiems. Tai juos apjungia, sušildo ir atsiranda viltis išgyventi. Ar jie sugebės išsaugoti ugnį ir viltį, ar nugalės žmonių godumas ir arogancija?
TARTU STUDENTŲ TEATRAS NGO

Tartu studentų teatras buvo įkurtas 1999 m. Kiekvieną rudenį kolektyvas priima naujus studentus, kurie studijoje dirba su vyresniais nariais ir kiekvieną sezoną sukuria du ar tris naujus spektaklius, dalyvauja festivaliuose užsienyje, rengia vasaros teatrinę mokyklą. Per savo gyvavimo metus teatras sukūrė apie 50 spektaklių ir beveik 40 buvusių narių dirba profesionaliame teatre arba mokosi teatro mokyklose.
Pagrindinis mūsų teatro tikslas – pristatyti Estijos publikai naują, dar šalyje mažai žinomą dramaturgiją. Pavyzdžiui, teatro įkūrėjas Kalev Kudu pirmas Estijoje sukūrė spektaklius pagal Sarah Kane, Aleksandro Vvedenskio, Pavelo Priažko dramaturgiją. Taip pat stengiamės naujai interpretuoti klasikus - Voltero „Kandidas“, F. Wedekindo „Pavasario pabudimas“. Ypatingą dėmesį skiriame ir jauniems estų autoriams; sukūrėme spektaklių pagal Mehis Heinsaar ir Jüri Ehlvest tekstus.

A picture of the far (or maybe near) future: the earth has turned into a vast wasteland. A man is huddled next to a fire. He spends the rest of his days playing tunes on instruments made from junkyard waste.
Suddenly, other people start to gather around the fire, trying to warm themselves. They remember the stories of the old days and share them amongst each other. This brings them together, warms them up and even inspires them to hope of survival. Will they manage to keep the fire and hope alive? Or will human greed arrogance prevail?
NGO TARTU STUDENT THEATER
University of Tartu, Estonia
The Tartu student theater was established in 1999. Each autumn the company accepts new students, who work in studio with elder members of the company and create together two or three plays. They participate in festivals abroad and host a summer theater camp. The theater has produced about 50 plays and almost 40 former member are working in professional theater or studying in theater schools.
The main objective of our theater is to present new, little-known dramaturgy to Estonian audiences. For example, the theater's founder, Kalev Kudu, was the first in Estonia to create plays based on the plays of Sarah Kane, Alexander Vvedensky and Pavel Priažko. We also try to reinterpret the classics - Voltaire's “Candide”,
Wedekind's “Spring Awakening”. We also place a special emphasis on young Estonian authors. We have created plays based on texts by Mehis Heinsaar and Jüri Ehlvest.
